Tuesday Night u14 Europa Futsal League – Handful of games played and already it’s getting interesting:

GCW (sm) 2022
Keeper scores a rare ‘fly’ goal

TEAM P W D L F A PTS  FORM
Seven Seas Futsala jb 4 3 1 0 19 5 10 WWWD
Healing FC ss bm 3 2 1 0 15 2 7 DWW
Grimsby Carpet Warehouse sm2 2 2 0 0 18 1 6 WW

Waltham 2 vs. Seven Seas 4

Game was as tight as the score suggests.

Seas went straight into a 2-0 lead which gave them a cushion for the rest of the match.

Tactically an interesting match with Jets playing very narrow compared to Seas who used full court width.

4/5 Match

Grimsby Carpet Warehouse 11 vs. Keelby Celtic 0

Sam Marshall GCW was at the top of their game Monday night, add a couple of changes and they was still playing their ‘A’ game.

With Keelby missing a key player this was always going to be a damage limitation exercise and so it proved.

Keelby United keeper on wrong end of the score but made a host of great saves

Keelby keeper made a list of great saves whilst his opposite number managed the rare feat of scoring a goal when his team trailed playing a ‘fly’ keeper.

3.5/5 Match

Keelby United 1 vs. Lounge FC 12

As score suggests Keelby United are struggling against opposition that play together week on week at both futsal and football.  Challenge for Keelby a) to be able to lose and still enjoy the game and b) to find a way to make life more difficult for opposition; fingers crossed they can achieve this challenge.

Strongest Lounge team I have seen to date, top teams be aware.

3/5 Match  4/5 Second half as Keelby upped their game.

Healing United 2 vs. Healing FC 2

Healing manager changed his team’s players around for new league, judging by the score he shared them pretty evenly.

With large squads both teams agreed to play 6 vs. 6 futsal.  It worked but not with the fluidity of 5 vs. 5.

Interesting after the game one team liked 6 vs. 6 the other team 100% voted 5 vs. 5.
