Week 8: Le Osterals take Kent Tuesday Championship!

dscf0456molten_ball_compressed.jpgThe first thing to hit me is the league has 28 matches.  This puts a big onus on team managers and
players to be available to play at the allotted slot.  99% of teams times teams are brilliantly
reliable; it’s just those odd blips. One team asks for a changed match time, no
big deal, the problem is the other 3 teams have to agree to make that change
possible!  They should not be put in that
position.

Team managers are the salt of the earth, these are the guys
who take responsibility to enter a team, ring you up, chase
subs..............support them 100%; they deserve nothing less.  Was I tempting fate?  Clee Futsal manager turns up at Kent St; his 'team mates' don't.  Appalling bad manners to league and opposition.  Fine is imposed.

The Kent St. Tuesday League has been a like a murder mystery unravelling itself for
some weeks; Tuesday the last dramatic turn will be revealed.  Le Osterals are in the driving seat, beat HTS
Eindhoven and they are champions, lose
and its current champions AFC Snoop who cannot possibly slip up against
Everglaze.  HTS Eindhoven will love being
the banana skin that could ruin Osterals day.  Le Osterals rest title from last winner AFC Snook; Kent St, Littlefields, it's a title no team can double up on!

Congratulations to
Osterals player Timothy Lowe who has been named captain of England College
11v11 team.

Kent Thursday is drawing to a similar end to the Tuesday
story, 18 games for each team to play and with the top 4 having played 12-14
each it’s a battle of nerve as they are so close on points.  Everglaze and Inter have to play each other twice,
which will be crucial. Results go Everglaze way.

The Monday Premier League rolls over to a new start; champions BBS Couriers having a free
week to digest their success.  Gunners
Watch are now Clee Motors, Kent Futsal are new to Monday League but all experienced
Kent St. players.   A great challenge for
the 11 teams entered; as last season illustrated, lapses in week 1 can be
critical when the championship closes. Fulstow beat Littlefields in a cracker, Cats' beat new boys (Kent), Youngs Sea Foods top after 1 game.

The Tuesday League has most teams played 3 games, Newton
Heath are the only 100% team, all teams ,barring Inter who have not kicked a
ball, have  secured a point. El Dogoes, Newton Heath and Whakker all played 4 games 9 points. Inter and College 2001 league late starters, College possible champions?  Don't say i did not forecast it first, they have dropped out of Premier to win Tuesday League before.

Wednesday League is a 2 horse championship race, the others are evenly balanced, and all teams
are taking points off others. Inter 4 ponts ahead, but played game more; Hemswell have it all to do. Teams miss each other in run in.  3rd place Heta have 0 goal difference, BBS Courioriuors are 10th with -1, does not add up?

Novartis Junior futsal is a real bonus, last week I watched 3
games and got 100% enjoyment for free; on Saturday I watched GTFC, cots £20,
and was 100% frustrated.  That said Bury
was an excellent team and a credit to their coaching staff.
