William Gay scored both goals as England beat Cyprus 2-1 to progress to the main round of UEFA Futsal Euro 2014 qualifying for the first ever time.

Gay grabbed two in two minutes to guide Pete Sturgess’s side to an historic victory.

England defeated Lithuania 4-3 on Friday night before edging the Cypriots in Kaunas.

The Three Lions will now face Ukraine, Slovenia and host nation Turkey in the main round at the end of March.

The Finals will take place in Belgium early next year.

Meanwhile, England will be back in action on home soil in February with Turkey visiting the Sporthouse venue in Barking for two friendly matches.
