THE BENIFITS OF BEING A SPORT MAKER

Dear All

Please
circulate and utilise the attached Sport Makers poster promoting two free inspirational
workshops which we have got planned for East Lindsey later this month.

Wednesday 18th
April 2012 at 6.30-9.30, at London Road Pavilion, Louth. Wednesday 18th
April is 100 days to go to the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.

Thursday 26th
April, 2012 at 6.30-9.30, at Wainfleet Pavilion, Skegness.

Sport Makers are people that make sport and
physical activity happen locally, after attending an inspirational workshop.
The workshops cover the following areas: leading from within, Olympic and
Paralympic values, safeguarding, helping others and lastly a deployment depot.
The roles and activities which Sport Makers complete are wide ranging; from
organising an after-work swim or walk, to supporting local events (such as
Lincoln Cycle Grand Prix, Grantham Spirit Triathlon), to providing skills and
expertise to local clubs. Basically anything that makes sport or physical
activity happen for someone else over the age of 16 counts as Sport Makers
hours. Within the Deployment Depot of the workshop; the Sport Maker pledges to
what they are going to do for their hours. Advice and guidance is provided
within this stage.
