Monday Premier League:
As league games run out every game is vital for Fulstow (v
Grimsby All Blacks) and Catalonia (v Gunners Watch); one slip and either could forfeit
title, or leave the door open for BBS Couriers. All Blacks’ nick game by 1 goal, a long overdue win given their quality. Catalonia win without real pressure from a struggling Gunners Watch. Manager Dean Gladwell pulls off a master stroke replacing suspended ‘Chizz’ with Paul Goodhand.
College vs. Young’s gives an opportunity for College to get
first win of season; says a lot for standard of league that College are bottom;
they are not a bad side. Still nothing going right for College.
Tuesday:
StreetSoccer V. Auditorium is the match that jumps up at
you. Excellent 7-3 win for StreetSoccer.
Wednesday:
Hemswell v Legends is the game. Hemswell have moved up a level on last season’s
play, Legends can attack, but don’t give full respect to defence. Tight game. Hemsell struggled to get a team out but still won.
Result that makes me want to double check referee score card – Wolfpak 7 Baptist Church 8!!
Kent Tuesday:
Batch of great games; 2 that catch the eye are title
aspirants AFC Snoop and Spiders Web against younger upstarts Humberstone and
HTS Eindhoven; both are capable of causing a surprise. Eindhoven 5 Spiders 2! Humberstone 5 AFC Snoop 4! For good measure Kent St beat Willows Chinese 4-2. I shall start doing the pools tomorrow.
Inter v. Latics. Inter
need to be aware Latics are under new management; this is not the easy game was
7 days ago. Sure enough Latics win, bur with a far better team than I expected would show?
