Tigers went into this game thinking they would win it having beaten Humberston Picture Humberstone Futsal.
|
Shamrock back to their best having lost previous games, They went back to basics fielding a very familiar team, ‘Bucco & Dan the difference’ Franklin wasn’t short of class either with ‘Sam Brooks’ proving he can move like ‘Messi’. |
‘Game of the Night’ Wed all stars started excellently with ‘Joshy’ firing on all angles going 4-1 up 1st half, All blacks had gone into this game possibly thinking it would be a walk over, Even all blacks player ‘Sam’ said they had started in 2nd gear, 2nd half couldn’t of been better for them, They changed their game plan to all out attack which not only gave them goals it also drew up a 5 foul count giving them the 10yd free spot kick which gave them the desperate point they needed and deserved. |
The game started relitively well with both teams grabbing goals early on, Some great movement from Clee’s ‘Corty’, 2nd half trawl picked up the pace in giving ‘Scotty’ a lot of shots at Clee keepers ‘Gav’ Net having plenty to do, Man of the match goes to ‘Wayne’ who is proving to be an asset to trawl grabbing some goals and making some top draw saves 2nd half after swapping keeper. heated towards the end as frustrations set in. |

Scartholonia 4 AFC Trawler-men 3 | OWKN 8 Gy Saxons 2 | Newton Heath 6 – GRS 2 | (Friendly) Gy Soccer Club 8 – BMPS Bruisers 5 | |
Big win for Scartolonia who had lost last four games, whilst Trawl had won two and was third in league. Trawler appeared slightly off pace by there standards, or was that Scarth’ had lifted their game a level? |
Saxons missed several opportunities when in attacking ‘overload’ situations. That said ‘Will’ for OWKM always had that extra to lift his team to a comfortable win. |
GRS raced into a two goal lead with two stunning goals. Jonjo and Cocoa delivering the goods.
Steadily Newton clawed there way back into the game and by half time was 4-2 advantaged.
The second period went into a high quality stalemate as GRS searched for a goal and Newton refused to chase a fifth. Eventually Newtons greater fitness told and they ran in two late goals. |
More atmosphere than at any game at Blundell Park last season. Good crowd, many on ‘medication’ but removed from centre court, gave GSC strong vocal backing. BHP included just two regular futsal players and this showed in the teams performance. ‘Moggs’ (GSC) was again outstanding as defensive pivot, giving his team the platform to attack from. The GSC performance was marred by poor ‘court manners.’ Before you question a referee be 100% sure you know the game Laws. During the game is not the time for referee’s to be giving tutorials. |
