Lindsey Old Boy’s arrive with a futsal bang!!!

Second Avenue
Monday Premier League
Fulstow Rovers started as the ‘betting mans’ outsider to challenge the Magpies supremacy.  Second bottom with 2 wins in 9 is bizarre form for such a capable team.  Nathan Usher’s two goals was the difference as Grimsby Catalonia beat them 4-2.

Gunners watch need to be winning the close games to move upwards.  Young’s edged them 5-4 with Michael West being the difference.

College 2001 got back on track, hammering the out of form Caistor.  Danny Webber (3 goals) and keeper ‘Cookie’ had strong games for College. They need Magpies to slip up if they are to make Sheffield and the 2007 FA National Finals.

Second Avenue
Tuesday Division II
Harvest FC are playing out of there skins and getting well deserved wins every week – the team to beat.  Magpies II had Harvest asking questions up to half time (2-0), the second half saw Harvest take a different approach to beating the Maggie’s keeper and as so often in their 6 games this league Harvest dominated.  Final score 10-0.  Reports from observers say Harvest could easily play in the Premier League.

Grimsby Auditorium went 4-1 up but Piemonte never gave in and managed a little comeback which just wasn’t good enough. Score 4-3

StreetSoccer’s first win and it has been coming after some very good performances in recent weeks. Grimsby Baptist Church did not have their full team, but they still had a good team, and had to be beaten.  Score 5-3

ACD nearly had their first loss but managed to come from 2-1 to 3-2 up within 5 minutes left on the clock.  ACD with 7 wins out of 7 played will not be happy with the Harvest FC attention.  A great game in store when the teams meet. Game of the night by far

Second Avenue
Wednesday Division III
Only Young’s of the top teams recorded a win.  Young’s saw off the Hemswell Challenge 10-4, a surprisingly wide result.

Second Ave got back to winning ways with a crucial 7-4 win over Heta FC who have taken over the Dynamo FC who have had to leave the league as to many players working out of town.

New team Lindsey School Old Boys played back to back games in an attempt to catch up on fixtures.  Nett result they come up with a double whammy; first ACD deSalao (7-5) and the Expressions (5-4) fall to the ‘old boy’s.’  In one week the whole championship has been thrown into the melting pot.

Kent Street League
A week off for all teams as fencing contractors had work to accomplish at the venue.

Friendly Matches
Grimsby All Blacks v Rose & Crown.  Score 8-3
‘Sam’ excelled for All Black’s a team that, judging by their friendly results, will be an asset to the Premier League.
