Kent St vs. ECGS – What a great game!

Passing Kent St on my way homeI took the opportunity to watch the end of Inter vs. Latics with the thought that I would then leave to get home for a rather late tea.  Inter vs. Latics was a sound game, close to the end, but having missed the first 30 minutes I had not got into the flow of the game which Inter nudged 7-5.

Then game on ECGS vs. Kent St, immediately I was into the game, Kent  team was a mixture of old and new faces,  it was obvious that if the opposition was to stay with them they would have to play well.  The opposition did just that, but who were they?  Sorry lads but this was not the ECGS team I had last seen play, 9 months can make a lot of difference.  ECGS had taken on board the lessons from their past defeats, got a little older and a lot more futsal wise.  The game just developed into a great contest to watch, a game I had to watch until the finish.  Skill in abundance, disguised passing,  players finding space when none seemed available, everyone comfortable on the ball even under pressure, superb to watch.

The score 7-6 to Kent St, but on this occassion the game won.

How often when teams lose do they tell me cant play at Kent St its to slippery or Kent is to small; well both these games proved that if you have the skill you can play great futsal on small and large pitches, its a case of can you adapt to the situation before you.
