The history of futsal in Iran became from more than 50 years ago, they were playing on asphalt 4*4 or 5*5,
Or even 3*3 (they called it Goal-Koochik) means small size game.
After that we started real Futsal in Ramadan month, after Iftar, in this month, the football tournaments were closed and all clubs participated in futsal at the nights. With good TV coverage and a lot of fans.
Few years passed and we started our league of futsal step by step, first we invite football clubs to participate and then others understand that investing in Futsal is easier than football and we had Futsal clubs.
Till now we are running these leagues for more than 15 years in 5 divisions for men’s and 3 for women.
But how we are supporting these leagues and how we convince children to play futsal is another matter
[07:48, 9/7/2019]: Hereby I would like to mention some important ideas which helped us before and now
[07:51, 9/7/2019] 1ts areas for this purpose
[07:53, 9/7/2019] we started a program to show families which all the best football players started their careers from Futsal because it gives more opportunity to play with the ball to everyone and improves technical and tactical aspects together
[07:56, 9/7/2019]- starting Futsal tournaments in the football’s offseason was very nice because we gathered a lot of fans and TV and sponsors came for them
[07:59, 9/7/2019] then we reached to a Futsal league with its professional players and national teams. So it was a good motivation for them to play in the national team in AFC or FIFA cups
[08:02, 9/7/2019] Last year, we had Futsal in youth Olympic in Argentina 🇦🇷 and I heard which the Olympic Committee is looking to put Futsal in their games instead of football. I think it will help our sport more than before and sponsors will come to it.
[08:03, 9/7/2019]All of the above-mentioned reasons helped our national team to reach the 3rd rank of FIFA world cup 2016, and also 3rd in FIFA’s Futsal monthly ranking
