Harvest – Premier League Double!!

First Harvest FC turned over Shamrock; Shamrock up to this game had
been looking as they were mounting a championship challenge; without
Courtly and Wakefield, the team stuttered.  Whenever they had the ball
space was closed to them.  The opposite was true for Harvest as they
opened the Shamrock defence at ease to get back on winning ways.
Harvest
II will be delighted to get their first win, and what a win; when was
the last time Fulstow Rovers shipped 12 goals (11 in the second half).
Ryan Smith scoring 5 ran riot setting up several others.
With new signings on the way Harvest send out a loud warning shot to the opposition.

Young’s
Seafood’s followed on from last week’s excellent form with a convincing
win over College 2001; College are on a win loose roll. The defence is
not the same without Webber.
Grimsby Catalonia have moved their
play up a level since the signing of Scott Harris, he covers more
ground in a game than any other player in the league.  Gunners’ Watch
resilience dragged them back to level a game they could have lost. 5-5.
Some cleverly contrived goals from both teams.
Division II Tuesday
is proving to be a real test of ability, Grange de Saloa kept distance
between the rest of the league as second place Magpies misses the
opportunity to haul them back.  Littlefields, StreetSoccer, Young’s
Seafood’s are all capable of upsetting the Grange roll; just needs one
of them to ‘step up to the plate’ and do it.  Grimsby Auditorium are
baffling me, whenever I see them they play well but are in free fall;
last game of 2007 they was top of league now they are 6th!

TUESDAY TEAMS PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
Double
check matches, if you have not a game at Second Avenue you may have a
game at Kent St.  This will only happen on odd occassions; Kent St is
one team short and Second Ave has 2 teams every week without a game.

Wednesday League II is still a Wolf Wanderers story, clear at the top by a proverbial mile; the race is for second place.
Kent St Tuesday
Nothing to report as referee DH as still to supply results, teams please  give him an ear wagging.

NB:
Grimsby
auditorium have rightly claimed the points for their game vs.
StreetSoccer; StreetSoccer played an illegible player.  There are no
transfers during a League or Cup competition.  Once a player has
stepped onto the pitch he is a player for that team until another
competition starts.
