LIONS, GSC, LITTLE DEVILS AND GRIMSBY ALL STARS BAG BIG POINTS

NEW WALTHAM 2013Holton Le Clay continue to be the ‘almost team.’ Losing a tight game to Lions who needed a win to lift coach Stu Orr. Holton have played four games with 1 win and 3 defeats, all 3 defeats by margins that can be turned into results with application and good fortune.

Grimsby Soccer Club getting back on track to form that saw them winning league before emergence of Grimsby All Stars. They beat Scartho by odd goal in 5. All Stars had an easier game at the office beating lowly New Waltham 9-1 in a match highlighted by fair play and sportsmanship. Callum in Waltham goal was exceptional whilst his team mates applied themselves admirably to a daunting opposition.

Little Devils and Dynamite was a treat to watch, referee Dan Mawer has been getting futsal matches between Premier League Academy sides, his view, ‘I am seeing professional youth futsal teams not as good as Little Devils.’ High praise indeed. One Tom Huntley goal was so creative I have forgotten exactly what he did, I know it involved the ball being played off the cross bar. Dynamite has a capable squad if they can keep lads together and build from there.
