Both BBS (11/12 league) and Scartho (Wednesday League) are closing gap week by week – goal by goal on their experienced opponents, just a case of which team grabs a win first.

What’s that saying that you wait for a bus and then two come together? Happened on Monday at Novartis, Holton Clay given to ‘cert’ wins and they manage to lose both. Well done Clee Mariners and Dynamite, reports tell me of great goal keeping to get their teams over line.

School year 4/5 league starting to populate, had 4 teams two weeks ago, now it’s 8 with inclusion of a second YMCA team and Grimsby Borough u10 Colts.

Wednesday night 6-7 is proving to be a great social night. Nothing like originally planned (walking futsal), now have a real mix of seniors, and lads and dads. Most would say the YMCA is too small to play 6v6 or 7v7, take no notice; the games are traffic to watch with guile from young and old.  We just play futsal with couple extra players on pitch. It works brilliantly; sweat pouring of players that gave up playing years past. Join in, whatever the result you end the game fitter than when you started.

Had some replies on the ‘loan issue.’ I do agree that if a team has required 5 players than they should play game with those 5 players. Will lead to some very one sided games as a consequence, down to each manager, the opposition have to ask your permission to play a loan player. You can say NO.

What a pain at YMCA tonight, coaching whilst parents shone torches, lights eventually repaired. Brad Milne took over to referee league games and just as I go to press get call lights out, played three and half games!

Just had an email for a June junior tournament in Venice; love Venice, if it can be done will do it! Details are on the www.yourfutsal.org  web site or email me at kevin@futsal.org.uk
