El Dogo’s go out of FA Futsal Cup with a fight

Played our first game and won 7-2 against Spartans (St Anne’s), we played really well and fully deserved win. Garry Spurr handed captaincy and stepped up his game and was at the fore front of most of our moves. But it was a proper team effort.

Second game we lost 6-2 against Middlesbrough. Boro’s movement was superb and caused us problems in the first half. They pressed all over the pitch and we couldn’t find an answer.

Went in 4-0 down. Second half we kept it tight for 5 minutes and then decided to push for the rest of the game, but sometimes it left team exposed at the back, saying that 2-2 was the score second half.

Definitely didn’t disgrace ourselves and if we’d had a better first half would have been in with a shout.

Team: Tom Webb (gk) Garry Spurr (c) David Walsh, Andy Lockwood, Lee Chirnside, Matthew Riley, Jim Allen, Adam Cooper and M
Mark cooper. Last 2 there as back up.

Oh and the team we beat didn’t turn up for boro game, so we went out.
