Level 1 Futsal Course

I am looking at running a Futsal Level 1 in the next couple of months. To do this you need a FA Level 1 qualification as this is a bolt on course to the introduction to Futsal Level 1.

Futsal is the format of Small Sided Football that is recognised and supported by FIFA and UEFA with World and European Championships for club and National Teams

The name ‘Futsal’ simply combines the Spanish words for ‘Hall’ – Sala and ‘Football’ – Futbol into Futsal. It is a five-a-side game, played with hockey sized goals and a smaller ball with a reduced bounce.

As a small-sided game players are constantly placed in situations where they must receive or play whilst under pressure or in confined spaces and it places considerable demand on technique, movement, tactical awareness and fitness.

To support the development of Futsal in England, The FA has devised an introductory six hour coaching course at various places around the country.

Course Objectives
•    On completion of the course the candidate should be able to:
    Understand and appreciate the fundamentals of Futsal
    Organise and coach the basic skills and techniques of Futsal
    Understand the basic principles of attack and defence of Futsal
    Appreciate the ‘Laws of the Game’ of Futsal
    Have an appreciation of the fitness demands of Futsal
Course of Training – 6 hours
•    4 hours practical
•    2 hours theory
Pre-Course Requirements
The course is an open access course. However in order to be
certificated candidates must hold one of the existing FA Coaching
Awards. Candidates seeking certification for the course should
therefore hold or have attended the following;
•    An existing FA Coaching Qualification
•    FA Child Protection module
•    FA Emergency First Aid
Assessment
•    Successful completion of the Course Assessment Examination Paper (multiple choice)
•    Successful completion of the FA Emergency First Aid module or equivalent
•    Successful completion of the FA Child Protection module
•    100% course attendance
To run the above course I would like to assess the following if you are
interested in attending when would be best for you to attend?

•    Weekend
•    two weekday evenings ( if this is possible, this entirely depends on the tutor.)
•    One weekday
If you could respond with the above information and your:-
•    Name
•    E mail Address
•    If your interested in doing the course.
•    Contact Number
•    Club Name (if appropriate)
I am trying to keep cost to a minimum ( and in the region of £10 – £30)
however this depends on how many people are interested in
participating.

I hope to hear from you as soon

Kind Regards

Sarah

Choice matches for January restart:

dscf0456molten_ball_compressed.jpgBBS Couriers (Harvest) have a must win game against Grimsby Catalonia, Catalonia have a must not lose situation if they want to guarantee name on Premier League title.  Postponed, ice on pitch.

Tuesday Littlefields II have similar situation, they have to take full 3 points against a strong Grimsby Auditorium. Littlefields close in on Championship 5-2

Same league and Eldogo’s need to see off Wolfpak to maintain top place challenge.  Last time these two met it was a  1-1 corker! Nothing changes 3-3

BBS Couriers vs. Piemonte is an interesting Wednesday game, BBS are a newly formed team getting good results in Sunday 11v11 football; Piemonte are always a good bench mark to measure performance.  Beat them and you will be in top half of table. Result awaited

Clee Futsal vs. Everglaze catches eye in Thursday League; Everglaze II still holding their own in nose bleed territory. 10-4 – EverglazIe II 2 points clear at top!

Kent vs. inter has the possibilities of being a cracker, both teams know each other well. Inter in form 10-4

FIXTURES ARE UPDATED

Trust everyone had a great Christmas and New Year, now is the time to start repaying your body for that over indulgence; futsal will test you both menatally and physically.

Please team manager be aware you have a major responsibility to yourself, your opponents and the league to put out a team; late cancellations can be costly to you and have a knock on effect to others that are organised.  If it means your mother plays in goal so be it!

Grimsby to continue to compete at top of futsal tree.

falogo.jpg The second FA National Futsal League is due to commence February 11th.  Grimsby has a team entered subject to confirmation of acceptance from the FA.  The team has been entered as Grimsby YMCA, as the name implies the club will be centred through the YMCA.  The management committee is drawn on their expertise with me as acting Chairman.  The management committee’s job will be to explore the funding possibilities to take futsal into schools and introduce the game to people already at YMCA etc.

It is envisaged the footballing side of the club will develop with teams competing at different age and ability levels.  The initial focus must be on the elite team that will be compete for the serious prize money that is on offer within the FA National Futsal League (North).  The fact that the league commences February 11th means we have limited time to prepare.

Manager of the team is I, with Mathew Payne Assistant Manager.  Daniel Hornigold is team captain.  Still only 20 Danny has shown me consistently over past 4 years that he can compete with the best futsal players in the country, he also has a commitment to futsal over our traditional 11v11 game, which is very important.  A massive responsibility is on Danny’s shoulders, captains lead by example!

I am confident we can improve on last season which was a massive
learning curve.  If you want to offer your services to GYMCA these are
