The referee course is always insistent that referees should not treat injuries. It goes without saying that if the injury is major, a blocked breathing problem, then, if the referee has the qualification common-sense takes over and they adopt new role.
Always have that first kit to hand and fresh water to rinse any bleeding. Fingers crossed you want need it.
