FUTSAL across England has taken huge leaps forward, seeing The FA place a focus on developing the game within schools and young people, which paved the way for the introduction of The FA Youth FUTSAL Festival.

Following on from the success of the Nottinghamshire County Competition, The Nottinghamshire FA Youth Management Group took the reins and pulled together an outstanding event in the 2014 East Midlands FUTSAL Finals!

With over 200 boys and girls playing FUTSAL over the course of the regional competition, it served as a reminder as to why this format of the game is rapidly spreading throughout the UK.

34 teams took part from U10’s through to U16’s, travelling from across the region with a hope of progressing through to the final stages which are being held on the 28th and 29th June 2014 at Birmingham Futsal Arena.

From The East Midlands region, the following teams progressed through to the National Finals:
U10 Girls – Leicester City Girls
U12 Girls – Cosby United
U14 Girls – West Bridgford School
U16 Girls – Notts County Girls
U10 Boys – Clipstone
U12 Boys – Kirk Hallam
U14 Boys – Blidworth SR
U16 Boys – Titans
