England’s Futsal squad head to Bulgaria next week for the preliminary round of the UEFA Futsal Championships.

With Mike Skubala confirmed as the new Three Lions head coach earlier this week, he has selected a 14-man squad for the trip.

The team will play three matches at the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna across four days, starting against Malta on Tuesday 23 January before facing Albania the following day.

After a rest day, the final match with hosts Bulgaria takes place on Thursday 27 January.

The nation who finish top of the group will progress to the qualifying round, although there is a possibility for a second-placed team to advance, depending on how the other groups go.

Although England are the highest-ranked nation in the group, Skubala is expecting three tight games.

Should England progress, the qualifying round will take place in April and the finals will be held in Slovenia next February.
