Week one of the sessions did not augur well.  Three players turned up, none of which was a
local youth.  The players who did turn up
was aware of myself and futsal, all are currently playing for Grimsby Town or Scunthorpe
United ‘schools of excellence.’

Week two was similar but with three local lads involved.

Week three increased to a dozen players including as they
were now know, ‘the Grimsby Town lads.’

Week four saw a sudden increase to sixteen players, the ‘Grimsby
Town lads’ dropped out at this point as they wanted to train specifically to be
better players, the locals was more concerned with playing and as a group was
very mixed ability.

Weeks five and six started with sixteen players and
increased to twenty as the session continued.

The last two weeks I spend playing 4v4 and 5v5 futsal on the
two smaller marked net ball courts.  All
four teams played each other one game, ensuring everyone got maximum number of
touches of the ball.

Finally we finished with a futsal game (five a-sides with
rolling substitutions) on the full size futsal court.  Less touches of the ball, they wanted to copy
the adults, and, most important they enjoyed it.

The last ten minutes was played out with everyone on the
pitch; a ‘warm down’ without mentioning the phrase.

All through we adhered to strict futsal rules.

Overall the standard of behaviour was high, the manners were
good, and the help and support I got was excellent.  Swearing meant exclusion, this happened only
once, and was rescinded following week after a personal apology.

The local lads loved playing with and against the better ‘Grimsby
Town Lads,’ weeks five and six they was asking were they where and why they was
missing.

All was disappointed the session was not being organised
every week, all were aware that there was a notice on the Reception door that
another six week session was commencing May.

The numbers and support could be harnessed to make a
Nunsthorpe & Bradley Futsal (football) Club.  I have ideas on this that I would be pleased
to discuss at a mutually convenient time.
