Newton Heath 5 Grimsby Soccer Club 0

Grimsby Soccer Club can take satisfaction that made Newton
Heath work for every goal.  The game was
approaching the break before Newton took the lead.

The work of the two goal keepers illustrated the flow of the
game; GSC keeper making a series of stunning saves whilst Newton keeper was
under worked.

Newton Champions for third time, who can stop a fourth?

Blaine FC 4 GRS All Stars 3

GRS opened up an early 2-0 lead with two great goals; Blaine
looked to be on the wrong end of a hiding at this point.  Blaine replied and then dropped back to a two
goal deficit.  A second Blaine goal took
the game to GRS 3 Blaine 2 at half time, slightly flattering Blaine.

Blaine improved after break, levelled, went ahead and then
closed the game.  Blaine looked most dangerous
at the end of the game when GRS was forced to chase game.

AFC Trawlermen 6 Pilgrims 3

Pilgrims needed to improve on last week’s performance if
they were to have a chance against the Trawlermen.   They improved greatly. Trawlermen put in, by
their standards, a misfiring performance.

Pilgrims looked, up to half time, to be in with a real
chance of a win that thought dissipated the longer the game went on. Trawlermen
eventually ran out safe winners.

Scartholnia 6 Fresh 4 (Abandoned)
