Discoveries Flyers 5 Healing Hotspurs 5

What a great advert for the up and coming Futsal around the town – two highly competitive teams one established and another 7 games into their experience but the performance that both sets of lads put in was superb – parents and coaches totally supported both teams at the end of the game – great passing movement and awareness throughout – great ball skills and tricks and finishing. 2-2 at half time and Hotspurs pulling all the punches the first 12 minutes of the second half were totally Healings and they raced into a 5-2 lead – their first big scalp was in the grasp – but Flyers (Never say die attitude) clawed back the three goals in the three minutes that remained to tie the scores at 5-5 – breathtaking and thoroughly enjoyable.

Grimsby Futsal 7 Dreadnoughts 5

Pace effort skill and total commitment what a superb advert this was from two very strong groups of lads – the Dreadnoughts held the lead 4 times in the first half but on each occasion and almost immediately from kick-off Grimsby Futsal replied – great attacks and super saves from both goalies fulfilled a great 15 minutes – in my opinion Dreadnoughts unfortunate to be drawing at half time 4-4. Second half just as open but minor mistakes allowed Grimsby Futsal a further three goals against the 1 that dreadnoughts managed – but it was that close – brilliant effort and such a tight ladder league game – could have gone either way – one learning boys – please accept the referees decision – he is there to help and offer support and advice.

Petit Delight 2 Dreadnoughts  10

Although a Division 2 game (Should have really been a ladder game – hence the score) – credit to Petit delight they never gave up – basic mistakes accounted to 4 or 5 goals throughout the game – Strength and power and attitude came to the fore – again acceptance to decisions and fouls apparent – but all in all Dreadnoughts deserved the result and outcome – but for Petit delight keep performing and listen to your positive manager – if the ladder league had been used and a -5 handicap the result would no doubt have been fairer

Great night with the youngsters (mine for the first time in a while) but I have to say well done to all the teams that took part.

John
