Clee Mariners grab first win of season

Lions manager Stu Orr talks with Matty Payne

Clee Mariners 3 Futsal Phenom 0

Neither team has yet mastered the art of defending. Defenders have to be just as sharp as attackers in their decision making. Being strong in the tackle, whilst not infringing on the opposition player, is a special skill.

Clee took the limited number of chances they got, one being a superb redirected back header into the Phenom goal from a long throw.

Phenom game weakness was not supporting target forward fast or often enough.

Tetney 1 CBM 7

Tetney continue to play great phases of play but scorn gilt edge goal chances by shooting rather than laying ball off for a ‘tap in.’

CBM extra year experience gave them big edge.

Cody All Stars 2 Lions 3

First game for All Stars, team has taken over the Zidane team slot.

It was clear from off that All Stars have a very competent team that will challenge oppositions.

Lions woke from recent weeks slumbers to something like their old selves to take a 2-0 lead, levelled to 2-2 with clock demising. Lions won dramatically with match’s last touch.
