Youngs’ make a staggering come back from 0-3 to win 6-3.

Monday saw Shamrock playing Youngs in the Monday Futsal Premier League.

Shamrock fielded 7 players including Danny Hornigold, Mezza, Matthew Payne and Bushell. Youngs in contrast had a bare 5 including debutant Mark Gale offset by the vastly experienced Shane Ludington Danny O’Hare Luke Neul and Steve Goodwin.

Shamrock used their numbers to great effect in the first 10 min scoring 3 unanswered goals while Young’s were in disarray trying to adjust to lack of numbers and no breaks. However they did manage to grab a goal against the run of play just before half time with Mark Gale finishing well.

Halftime saw Young’s down 3-1 and looking tired but as the old saying goes its a game of 2 halfs and this was to prove the saying correct once again,

Young’s started the second half very well, using the pivot man tactic that they are starting to perfect to good effect . 2 very quick goals by Danny O’hare and his left foot saw a massive Youngs revival, the scored was levelled after some fine play and a bit of a lucky scramble in front of the Shamrock goal.

With a new found energy and spirit Young’s started to really dominate and soon started to get some goals scoring a 4th 5th and 6th without reply. Not to be forgotten is the great work done by Steve Goodwin pulling of some superb saves. Full credit must also go to Shamrock who played an outstanding game one of the best so far in this young season.

Willows Valiant beat Newton Heath who are struggling for results.

Restricted programme saw contenders Trawl destroy Barca by a margin we don’t like to see (24-0). Credit to Barca that they stuck to the task.

El Dogo’s 9-2 win takes them to top of league with Madrid, but with a better goal difference.  Teams have to play each in run in to title, it is looking as third placed Trawl have left themselves to much to do, 5 points is a big margin at this stage.

Fresh & Trawl beat Scartholonoia and Saxons respectively to show a positive signs of live on the WWLLD table.

Grimsby Soccer Club, took a step back after some great results, losing to title aspirants Healing 12-0. They will bounce back.

In a friendly newcomers Humberstone had a second win, this time against a younger Novartis squad. 7-2.

Big news of night, Everglaze dropping 3 valuable championship points to East Marsh.

 Tuesday League -Barca.

Winning is not always everything, getting a team out knowing you might not be competitive means setting a whole lot of separate ‘goals.’
