I’m
writing to let you know about 2 practical courses we’ve got coming up in
February:

 

·        
04/02/2010 – Multi Skills Inclusion at Bricknell Primary School
in Hull (6.30pm-9.30pm).

·        
11/02/2010 – An Introduction To The FUNdamentals Of Movement at
Hereford School in Grimsby (6.30pm-9.30pm).

 

Multi Skills Inclusion: (cost £25)

This is a 3 hour practical course aimed at coaches
working in YST initiatives or regularly coaching candidates with disabilities.
Prior attendance of ‘An Introduction to The FUNdamentals of Movement’ course
would be beneficial, but is not essential.

 

The workshop includes a comprehensive textbook and is
certificated by Sports Coach UK.

This workshop has been developed to provide Multi Skills
coaches with additional skills to include a wider range of young participants,
particularly young disabled participants, in their sessions.

 

By the end of the workshop you will be able to:

·        
Understand the principles of the ABCs and how
they link with inclusion

·        
Develop effective inclusive sessions that will
challenge both disabled and non-disabled young participants

·        
Learn, develop and apply the skills to
effectively deal with challenges that may be faced when delivering.

 

An Introduction To The FUNdamentals Of Movement:
(cost £25)

This is a 3 hour theory course aimed at UKCC Level 1 and
2 coaches who want to learn or increase their knowledge of LTAD (long term
athlete development) and how to integrate this into their coaching practice.

 

Candidates will receive a comprehensive textbook and a
certificate from Sports Coach UK. The workshop provides all the essential
information on the LTAD model and its practical applications. As well as
general theory, it describes how to identify talented athletes and maximises
your performers’ ability, achievements and commitment to sport through
integration of the LTAD approach.

 

By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

Understand the reasons for adopting LTAD

·        
Understand the concepts and key principles of
LTAD

·        
Recognise and respond to the implications for
coaches and coaching

·        
Identify appropriate action to integrate LTAD
into their coaching.
