FA advice on recent rule changes

index2.jpg  The FA, in response to problems teams have been experiencing with the
recent rule changes, have issued the following advice, to read click here.

On the back pass rule international referee Gavin Sartain advices referees that ”when  GK has released the ball the referee keeps index finger pointing (your arm outstretched by your side, not to look to obvious) using the hand nearest the GK who has just released the ball.”

The opposite GK is now irrelevant as his opponents have touched the ball, allowing the ball to be passed back to him.

Teams you need your GK to be ‘switched on,’ GK’s you need to be communicating with your team; ”yes I can have the ball, no I can’t.’ GK’s need to take full responsibility.
