TRAINEE SPORTS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Apprenticeship

Based at Origin 1, Europarc, Grimsby

The Sports Development Unit of North East Lincolnshire Council is looking to appoint a Trainee Sports Development Officer to gain the skills and abilities required to work in the sports development sector.

Working towards the NVQ award in business admin the successful candidate will also undertake a full programme of professional development aimed at preparing them for progression into the sports industry. ?

The Trainee Sports Development Officer will provide general administrative support to the Sports Development team as well as being involved in a variety of projects designed to develop their knowledge and understanding of development work.

Other work will include supporting the Unit?s officers to organise and deliver school holiday activities, produce newsletters and publicity materials and develop the service?s marketing and communications systems such as the website.

The Trainee Sports Development Officer will assume employed status with North East Lincolnshire Council on an apprenticeship basis. ?Aged 16 ? 19 the ideal candidate will be passionate and enthusiastic about sport and will have some knowledge of the sports sector through completion of a course in sport at school or college. ?Coaching experience or qualifications would be desirable but not essential.
